What is CrossFit- “Constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity ”CrossFit is a combination of constantly varied high intensity functional movement along with high-quality nutrition. Workouts are different every day and can be tailored to suit everyone’s needs. We want to ensure you get the best workout. No matter your age, gender, fitness experience or whether you are starting your fitness journey, there is something for everyone. CrossFit is a great way to meet people and have fun while working out. We support and encourage each other during work outs and help each other achieve their goals. Remember you do not need to be fit to start CrossFit.
You will be taught how to move by a qualified CrossFit coach and workouts will be modified to YOUR fitness level.

Name: Ross Crossbie
Function: Owner/Head Coach
Ross is originally from Dublin and moved to Aberdeen in 2010. He is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer and Advanced Level 4 Personal Trainer. Ross is an enthusiastic and highly personable professional with over 11 years of experience in the fitness industry. Ross has years of experience coaching people from a variety of backgrounds and levels of fitness, from athletes, teenagers, mums, dads, pregnant women and over 60s.
Ross discovered CrossFit as part of his own training in 2015 and has never looked back. After attending his fundamental’s course and his first WOD class he was hooked on the CrossFit Methodology and the sense of community he felt. He became a CrossFit Level 1 trainer in March 2019 and his goal was to open his own CrossFit box.
Ross’s aim as head coach is to help people become physically and mentally stronger, gain confidence and lead healthier and happier lives. His favourite part of coaching is helping clients achieve what they never thought was possible, whether this is completing a tough workout or mastering a specific move like a pull up.
His goal is to create a happy and friendly workout environment for all in the Aberdeenshire community.
If you have never done CrossFit before you will need to complete a fundamentals course. The course comprises of 2 One-hour sessions with Ross. The purpose of a CrossFit fundamentals course is to help you understand the theory and basic movements behind the CrossFit concept and to learn to move safely, efficiently, and effectively. The course will allow you to build confidence to move into WOD classes.
WOD stands for Workout Of the Day and the workout varies from day to day. WODs are scaled and modified to each athlete’s level and performed as well as the individual can. Focus is on moving well, good form and technique.
Examples of WOD classes include-
EMOM- Every minute on the Minute
AMRAP- As many rounds as possible
RFT- Rounds for time
One to One PT
Highly tailored focused one to one training sessions with Ross Crosbie. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
PT will help you progress with your fitness beyond your expectations. These sessions will allow you to work on technique, new skills and ensure you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Sessions are programmed specifically for the client. Available as 30 minutes or 1-hour sessions.
Unstructured gym sessions available to unlimited members only. You can train freely and use all the equipment that is available. One of our coaches will always be available if you have any questions.
